Booked an apartment with double bed and was given a room with two separate singles and was told to "just put them together" because none of their apartments actually had the double bed as advertised. Photos in the booking were cropped to mislead people. Was moved to a small room with an double bed and then denied any difference in room price. The only warm food included in the 10€ breakfast was eggs.
This review will remain until I see the apartments advertised honestly online.
The best hotel in Lackenhof. I booked a mountain-view apartment. Impeccable cleanliness everywhere, diverse food options for all tastes. Perfect for families with children; there's a toboggan run for kids in front of the hotel, and it's close to the ski lift. Also, there is a place to rent skis, boots, and sleds on the ground floor of the hotel. You'll find everything you need for a perfect vacation!
When i arrived, my first feeling was absolute disapointment.
This hotel is huge, trying to find way from your room to the cafeteria takes minutes. The food is simply gross, meat is hard and grilled potatoes are too hard or too soft, dont mention the drinks, worse than a tap water.
The rooms themselves are really small and old, bathrooms can’t fit two peple next to basin and it all smells really bad (no ventilation).
You would expect wifi for free in these times but No, you have to pay 10€! and when you get it, its not 100% sure you even manage to acces it!
Im from Czechia and i can’t really speak german, so i would expect english text here, but NO! there is only german and HUNGARISH!
The cost is huge for this! i seriously dont reccomend you paing it, you can find much better hotels in this area for much better price!
The place was lovely. We asked for mountain view and they gave us a great room with beautiful view and super comfortable beds. The breakfast had a lot of options. We will definitely come again!

Run down hotel, beds too short for tall people. Food is the worst I have been served in years. All frozen goods and not well prepared. Half frozen, half burned. The potatoes taste like cucumbers. Staff friendly, but sadly can't make up for the rest.
Three stars because of the staff that would have deserved 5 stars. Very nice, very helpful. But the location itself is just really old. And due to my professional background I immediately draw some conclusions regarding the management. In the end, it's not "the building" which is run down, but it's the people in decision making positions who let the building run down and who ask their employees to work under such conditions - doing their best but unable to achieve satisfactory results. THAT'S the real problem here, not the hotel itself.
Still - I won't return.
